In 2015 we opened a new production facility in Rochdale, boosting our manufacturing capacity. Investment in new machinery at the site has also enhanced our finishing capabilities.
Wax cotton destined for the high seas.Henri Lloyd, a brand steeped in rich sailing heritage, has incorporated British Millerain’s signature Chera-wax cotton into their exciting new Autumn/Winter outerwear collection!
British Millerain is a pioneer of wax finishing; working with a merchant called Francis Webster back in the late 1800s, Egyptian cotton was imported into the UK and then waxed by British Millerain, thereby providing a supply of oil-based waxed cotton to the UK market.
At British Millerain we have been busy upgrading our UK factory to expand our capabilities. Over £500,000 has been invested, including the addition of new dyeing equipment and a top of the range digital printer. An area of our factory has been renovated to house this impressive printing machine (pictured).
